Empowerment from within
Our collective is not just a source of income, it’s a platform for self-empowerment. Through their skill, dedication, and collaborative spirit, the women of Kala Maitri have become the drivers of their own success. They are not simply makers; they are decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and leaders, managing production, overseeing quality, and actively building a sustainable future for themselves and their families, one stitch at a time.
Our fabrics
We are proud to use fabrics that celebrate India's rich textile heritage, bringing authentic craftsmanship to every product we create.
We source stunning Bagh and Batik fabrics, honouring India’s block-printing traditions. Our Bagh prints feature bold, hand-blocked patterns, often made with natural dyes. Our Batik fabrics are recognisable by their intricate, fine designs achieved through a wax-resist technique.
We are proud to handloom Maheshwari fabric in-house. Known for its elegant sheen and lightweight comfort, this traditional silk and cotton blend is woven in our own unit.
