What we do
Kala Maitri is an enterprise that plans and supports amazing projects to transform the lives of women artisans. We organise women into entrepreneurial collectives, providing the training and the marketplace necessary to turn their traditional handicrafts into a reliable source of income.
We mobilize & train
We organize women into skill-specific Entrepreneurial Networks (WENs) and provide business function training to build competence.
We ensure quality
We facilitate the procurement of local, ethical raw materials & ensure product quality and scale through our standardised Kala Kendra hubs.
We connect & sell
We bridge the gap between rural artisans and the market, actively securing bulk orders and facilitating sales through digital and exhibition channels.
We empower
We ensure that women own the means of production and receive consistent, equitable income, driving their financial autonomy.
